We also supply bulk bags of seasoned firewood that’s primarily made up of spruce, pine and larch. As with all softwoods, they do burn faster, yet you still get tremendous heat for your money. If on the other hand, you’re keen to remove any uncertainty and buy firewood that’s dried to 18-20% moisture content, our kiln dried firewood is the best option. It contains less moisture than air-dried seasoned logs and produces perfect results each time you light the fire. All of our bulk bags are delivered on a burnable wooden pallet, whilst deliveries are made by a nationwide pallet courier, with standard delivery as kerb side.
What’s the best economical firewood for a log burner?
Any of our firewood is suitable for use on open fires or stoves, but it really does depend on your own preferences. If you’re keen to save money in the long run, it could be worth investing in unseasoned firewood. This is the best firewood if you’re looking to reduce costs but you will need to have a log store or a barn at the ready (with good air flow) as the logs will need further seasoning before burning.
Though a little preparation is required in the build up to the colder months, you can save significant amounts of money going forwards, whilst you can also save 30% on a log store when purchasing a bulk bag of unseasoned hardwood logs.
